I'm Liz W.F. Holcomb.
I'm 10 years deep as a graphic designer, the last three of them running international marketing and content out of Germany. I design visuals that are strategic, effective, and backed by data. I can sit in a boardroom and talk campaign performance with the best of them... I just also might be the only person in that room who spent the weekend in a cave or a mosh pit. I clean up well.
I recently moved back to the U.S., still re-learning things like tipping math and small talk with strangers at the grocery store. Designing across cultures taught me what actually matters when the world won't sit still - you learn fast that "normal" is local, not universal, and that good design starts with empathy, not assumptions. That perspective shapes everything I make now, whether it's for a global audience or the person next to you.
I also feel strongly about how people on a team should be treated. I'm a player-coach at heart - I take on extra accountability because I bring full commitment and belief to whatever brand I'm working for, no matter whose name is on the project. Work sticks when it connects to what someone actually cares about, and I try to be the kind of teammate who makes that connection.
Outside of work: video games, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, spelunking, making music, theatre, crafting, and horror movies with my cats.
